I just think a lot about how Reim is the character in ph who gets the focus/arc around finding alternatives to violence despite being neither physically weak nor morally opposed to violence

like Ada's character is also about the strength of her words and compassion and she doesn't even HAVE a Chain but it isn't ever framed like violence isn't an option for her like it is with Reim, in spite of the fact that he is more technically capable of violence and also uses it

imo he is bad at violence because he just, on a personal emotional level, does not like hurting people, and bc he's already a really hesitant and slow to react person it just compounds and makes him not really equipped to respond effectively in a fight. but he can and does still work around that when he thinks violence is the right course of action

and him disliking hurting people is never made into a major sticking point really

so it really takes away the focus from the negative aspects of violence or his personal weaknesses and puts the ENTIRE weight of that character conflict on the fact he is just more dangerous talking

I think Reim is a cute character and I like him
