[identity theft woes]

I accessed my credit report while putting together letters to send out and this fucker charged almost $9,000 fucking dollars at Lowe's

HELLO? THIS WAS NOT CONSIDERED WEIRD AT ANY SINGLE POINT EVER? When I only have had one single credit card open for my entire credit history and the only open debt I have is my car?

Aside from Lowe's, Home Depot and Jared Jeweler's, this fucker also put in an inquiry to Menard's but hopefully my credit freeze/fraud alert was put in in time to stop them approving anything

When I got my credit card with my bank, where I've had an account since I was an infant, I (rightfully) had to furnish ID and take several steps to confirm my identity, which was 100% fine by me! It's right to do this!

But then some stranger can just apply for a fucking Lowe's card, under my name and a completely different person's name, then charge that much money to it and nobody bats an eye??

I'm shaking. But I have the letters put together (identitytheft[dot]gov has been so useful for that) and hopefully this will be enough

The identitytheft[dot]gov report also mentions that I've already been to the police about it, so.
