ok i just realized something so imma ramble in here but

so sal has been acting like. way too ok for someone who kinda went through actual hell and back. and some of that is bc quite a bit of time went by between him being dead and everything else AND he is just kind of. champion of repression

and washing up on deer with his memories all fuzzy and this feeling like he's supposed to be there helped him disconnect from all the horrible bullshit to a point where like. he knows it happened. he acknowledged that it happened. but he has a (very flimsy honestly) wall between him now and That

AND UH

he ate an amnesiac chocolate

so when thats over and it all comes back to him he will probably be Not Okay and that thin barrier will just break like a twig
