aspect ratio is still a problem in SL im guessing. I see so many ads/posters for things that i want to stretch to the right ratio

Sadly yes.. anything what isn't square or double wide as high gets crunched and weird still

this is what happens when you let anyone do whatever they want! it's like requiring everyone tag the width and height of their jpegs. (also there are parts of built-in SL that don't even have one answer anymore, like profile pictures, which helps so much...)
