Apparently, there were more family members living in the mansion but once Akiha became the new head... She kicked them all out so it could just be her and Shiki
My dream is for this to be put on a website for people to read just like how someone sorcery'd the entire FSN VN a little while ago... Music, voices, everything
So apparently, he says that he was burned in an accident and his scars are so bad that sunlight hurts him, then he mentions that Akiha was partly responsible for that
So my guess is that it had something to do with her oni powers plus he mentions that Akiha doesn't like him very much, so their relationship is most likely built on business, circumstances and convenience more than anything else
He's like a regal high class Kotomine in a sense... He seems to respect people on his level and looks down on Shiki being a commoner who came back into a position that he's ready for... He does kill Shiki in a bad end once Shiki looks at the Tohno Family records
Day 2 is probably one of, if not, the shortest day in the game since the only big things that happen are Arach intro, then Noel intro, then Mio shows up for a second... Then you get a CREEPY VLOV moment
Overall, I can say that there really isn't a big difference between OG Shiki and Remake Shiki, I think Nasu said it best when he says that OG Shiki is more of a otaku self-insert type where he's cool and collective but really gets going when push comes to shove
Plus he tends to act cheerful on the outside while being nihilistic on the inside... But Remake Shiki lacks that cheerfulness, so he's still calm and collected but there's also a sense of emptiness to him. He's elegant and soft-spoken like Mikiya, but still has that edginess and his classic tsundere moments
It's an interesting contrast from Shirou where Shirou is more hot-blooded and has a rougher way of talking. Both can be very sarcastic, but Shiki seems to be openly snarky depending on who he's close to like Arihiko and Arc... (He even calls him Asshiko in the remake)
Plus he mentioned the differences between what they fight for too. Shirou fights to protect the ones he loves as an embodiment of justice, but Shiki fights vampires to protect the ones he loves to protect his own personal values and decency
Then he bought up that Shirou will kill for those he loves if it's for the sake of justice and Shiki will ignore his place in society as a decent person if it's for the ones he loves as well
I'm getting a better feel of Saiki now... It feels like he was business rivals with Makihisa and he wants to take over the Tohno Mansion and perhaps the city too
I wonder if Nasu intentionally written Akiha to be a lot meaner in the remake so that her gentle moment would stand out more. He did mention that he was a little worried that Akiha would overshadow Arc in heroine power near the end
If Arc knows something or likes/dislikes something, she'll tell you. If she doesn't know anything, she'll say doesn't know. Ciel keeps things to herself until she's comfortable enough to reveal information
Hisui is a middle ground where she's an honest person at heart, but she's sworn to secrecy about all sorts of dirty laundry in the Tohno family so she never tells Shiki anything plus Kohaku has an influence on her
Then you have Akiha who gently pivots or gaslights certain topics from Shiki, but it all for his protection. Then Kohaku... HOLY SHIT she lies to everyone even to herself
But in her case, it's not out of maliciousness... She just has no idea what else to do since she can't feel anything. LET'S GET REVENGE because uh... I got nothing else going right now
Arc and Mash are similar since they were both born to be weapons in the beginning and had no emotions, but in Arc's case... Shiki killing her made her start feeling things that she's never known before
then she had the Crypters but considering that most of them were socially input mages or batshit mercenaries... She could've turned out much worst. Tachie is probably the closest we'll get to Nega Mash/Mash Alter/HsaM
In her own route, Arc treats Shiki as an equal, so she has absolute trust in him. But in Ciel's route, Arc holds a leash on Shiki... So it's more of a Master (Arc) and Servant (Shiki) relationship
I still wonder if TsukiR's influence bleed into LB6 since Nasu was writing both as the same time. LB6 also dealt with the whole "monster vs. humanity" dealo that Tsukihme does. While LB6 doesn't touch as deeply as TsukiR, you def. see shades of it
LB6 was also a love letter to Saber's character too through Castoria. She might be a different Artoria from the one we started Fate with, but her core is still the King of Knights
It does raise a question about how Akiha would've turned out if it wasn't for Makihisa raising her this way... Maybe we might see a potential What If for Akiha someday
This doesn't apply to our beloved knife nut nutso Shiki Tohno since he's technically a Nanaya but the Nanaya clan... UH liked to keep things in the family so to speak
her normal one is actually a lot happier and she's more badass in MB since she actually fights Vlov and gets saved by Ciel, but it's cool that she managed to hold him off for a little bit
Nasu said that he didn't have to make Arc write on a board for the Nasubabble bits but he felt that this would increase Arc's heroine appeal so he did it anyway
Finally got this working in english and no context needed.
