I was checking my subscriptions and noticed that Toronto Star was about to renew at $149.99/month! I called them and they offered it to me at $8/month, like last year. Glad I noticed!

I wonder how many people wouldn’t have noticed. Some people don’t check their credit card statements regularly. On the other hand, the fact that they didn’t allow cancelling online suggests they’re ready to deal.
