plus on top of that you can literally do every job with one character so like. canonically the WoL can be a grandmaster at literally every craft known to man
FF14 team came from a very humble place, I think, after the stumble that was 1.0. And the ethos of the team flows from Yoshi-P, which at least outwardly is essentially like, how can we make our players happy and make sure they have fun and less of the kinda thing you see form other MMO devs like ActiBLizz which seems to be
that's part of it, ha, tai started as an exercise of "...you know what kind of person would ACTUALLY take the time to painstakingly craft all of their own gear, even sourcing their own materials, and prioritize that over adventuring, what would that person be like" and rapidly spiraled out of control
and obviously there's some of that going on with FF14, they're still a corporation but... there's a real feeling of passion and care and love both for the game and for the players
