[FFXIV] messing around with au ra since more and more of my friends are getting into ffxiv and i need a character that isn't a dumb pun and quick poll which one looks better i am extremely torn
i decided to stop with the dumb isekai joke and the moment i did my brain expanded and i started looking up au ra tribes and coming up with a backstory and putting words into mongolian google translate to get a proper name
my current idea for taivakhara "tai" qerel is that she really took after the qerel propensity for armorcrafting but wanted to take it a step further, took a boat to the bay of cha'yuz under the assumption that the commerce hub of the continent would have an armorsmith's guild she could sign up in, realized her mistake, but didn't have enough gil
to get passage to a ship to limsa without an adventurer's league discount and DEFINITELY not enough to head back home so she took it up with the gladiator's guild to start earning some cash
sunny disposition but absolutely obsessive about work and perfectionism, fixates on getting everything exactly right to the point where it's disconcerting to other people
she was largely produced out of me remembering my previous attempt at ffxiv and how i spent 15-50 pausing every few levels to go obsessively gather hq ore and obsessively make every piece of gear needed for my pally and wondering what that kind of person would actually be like
needs to constantly be doing something with her hands, tail constantly swishes, as she works harder she becomes more of a chatterbox until she suddenly stops talking at all and becomes very focused
heck my friends back then told me so like. "you don't need to take a break from msq for hours at a time don't worry about optimizing gear for this level sheesh"
I tried to level all my crafting/gathering classes after beating ARR, and fell into a hole so deep I burned out hard and fell off the game for like a year and a half.
