Oops. bolt broke that holds the left arm of my desk chair in place. It is shown next to the one from the right arm.

I will have to get a bolt / screw extractor and a new bolt at Ace later today.

I do have blue loctite available so I am good to go for the install once I get the replacement.

All the bolt / screw removers I have are too large, time to add to my tool kit again.

loctite is an abomination unto the Lord. It goes completely against the principles of proper engineering that insist upon proper regular maintenance. It is necessary that someone tighten the bolts of life from time to time. To impede this process is antisystemical!

But, my tolerances!

Max Graf : I agree, but it has saved me on a few adjustment screws for my old kitchen cupboards.

The use here works due the poor design of the chair arm and the vibration potential to wiggle the bolt loose.

My older chair had a much better arm design and had multiple bolts vs a single vertical bolt mount.

Darn. My chair at work gets wiggled a bit by me. Been two years and seems to be doing okay.
