and I def feel you on the fights. it's exhausting and at the end of the day, people are still going to project whatever narrative they want onto fictional characters to support the point they're trying to make
Yeeeeeah... like heck, if I see something I don't like, I just block/hide and move on. I don't make it a point to go in there and make sure to tell OP "Hey this ship you like is Morally Wrong"
oh, I get you. it's especially irritating when the morality police start harping on fictional consenting adults. part of it is that there are too many kids with limited experience thinking they know more about relationship dynamics than they actually do, imo
if you're dealing with actual adults then age gaps can get weird sometimes. It's not the same as dealing with teens and such. But...yeah, try telling twitter that pff
I mean, my RL partner is 8 years older than me or so and I've known adult couples with greater age gaps than that. and it... doesn't really matter that much once you get to that adult stage of life
and the bottom line is these characters aren't real anyway. they don't have thoughts, feelings, emotions, rights, etc. there's no danger to protect them from because they're figments of imagination which Twitter loses sight of
but I may or may not silently judge them instead
