I have actually gotten to sing in that style before! I was in a world music choir that did a lot of central and eastern European music, itโs very much similar across those regions!

that's so cool!! i joined a bulgarian choir a few years back but it was really hard for me to sing in that style (i was trained in a very classical style and chest/throat singing was. so hard!!!!)

oh! i havenโt looked to see if theyโre on Youtube, but my father in law recently gave me some records from the 70s, I think, of a group called โThe Pennywhistlersโ who do gorgeous Bulgarian and other Eastern European choral stuff
