No tags tonight as went out to see The Eternals - thoughts without spoilers inside.

It was alright. Not top tier or anything. Felt they focused on the wrong thing at times. Ideas I thought were cool/more interesting were skimmed over. Other things made me go: did some content get cut somewhere???????

Not to the point where you couldn't follow the plot or anything, but felt very much like a tell rather than show

Overall don't regret paying money to see it, but if you're not Marvel movie fan then I think it will be fine if you wait to see this one on streaming.

There were parts and moments I really liked and other parts where I was just: ugh... Yes, yes. Seen this before. Can we move on now? No? Another ten minutes of this? Fiiiiiine at least the people are pretty to look at

My favourite part was when the end credit scene finished and someone in the cinema let out a mostly confused, but also slightly dismayed cry of: What?!?

Which I don't really care, but my mega Dune fan friend sitting next to me in the cinema nearly started to weep when the trailer for Dune played and the lie of: in cinema Oct 2021 came on the screen

He wants to see this movie so badly

But that was a fun moment too. Everyone either booing, laughing, or calling the Dune trailer liar
