[rp] actually here's a Thing about jamjar networks that I think about

I think my favorite network mechanic came from Save The Earth

where instead of a physical device you could use, your character had a string of numbers you could enter in literally anything you could write the numbers on, and access the network through that

you could enter them on your phone, or on a fogged-up mirror, or in the dirt

one of my characters once reached the network through a milkshake

and I love that sort of creativity

I VERY briefly played the War Mage from Orcs Must Die

and his first post was him writing the number on a fogged up mirror after taking a shower

StE was some good shit

oh, that does sound like a fun network mechanic

that does sound amazing

Addresses the entire network while naked except for a towel

one time danny in StE accessed the network via morse code because he was trapped in a thermos

i'm still so glad i got to do something that stupid haha

Oh that’s a cool as fuck concept

I remember being able to have actual CR between Senketsu and other characters by having him communicate through a Scrabble board with the numbers written on it.

I wish I had stuck around StE more...

I'm disappointed that I missed StE, that sounds like a fun communication method.

(well, and the game looked interesting too)
