Today I spent a lovely afternoon/evening with a friend I met on Livejournal in a roleplay game. 17 years ago. First time meeting her in RL.

She brought along her son, a handsome, successful young man who I remember being described as a small child.

She's one of my nearest and dearest, and to be able to wrap her in a hug was a marvelous thing.

Wonderful! I miss the culture of Livejournal sometimes.

How awesome!

What really amused me was her son's attitude, it was sort of a reverence? For one of the legendary group that his mom roleplayed with during his formative years.

I rather miss creating and running roleplay games in livejournal. Let me see if I can remember their names. Dreams, Bohemians, Middle Earth Sockpuppet Theatre, Spaceport Weini, Theatrical Muse...

i didn't create ALL of those but I helped shape them all.
