Don't think this would be possible. There'd be a larger uproar than a forwarded message via users like this. And from a cursory Google this might have been going around since 2020

I've seen basically the exact same message with another user plugged in

afaik its impossible to hack someone with a friend request

they would need to receive a file of some kind

but this sort of thing is more likely at most a harassment campaign against the specific user

if not just an urban legend type chain letter

otoh apparently there really is a thing going around where your friends could be hacked and send you a link that basically modifies your discord program to log you out and steal your pw so uh

watch for suspicious links and if you get logged out unexpectedly google that for instructions on how to purge before you fully uninstall the program, download again, check the files and then proceed

it is apparently been a thing since last year so ideally at this point a half decent antivirus will catch that

but better safe than sorry

(since logging in again is what gives your pw)

and maybe turn on 2 factor even if it's a pain
