so many issues. always. worked 16 hours until i legally couldn't drive anymore but was still 70 miles away. spent 5 hours on an off ramp waiting for someone to relieve me but they never did
i guess we were very short handed yesterday because two drivers had to leave at the start of their shifts due to one having his dad die and the other needing to go to the emergency room. so i ended up with a heavier workload than i could handle
and it's difficult getting anyone to help from other accounts because you have to have certification to pull double trailers. hence why no one was able to help me
i'll stick it out for a few more weeks and see how it goes. if it doesn't get better i'll put in a transfer to either intermodal or amazon. both are monday to friday home every day which is what i want
lmao i keep getting told "every job is stressful!" yeah my last job was stressful too but when i went home from that job i didn't start drinking. HELLO I'M SO STRESSED OUT I'M DRINKING. I NEVER DRINK
it was a mess getting in and out of the truck gate this morning with a lot of people trying to leave, plus the pedestrian traffic for the warehouse made things crazy. i accidentally blocked the crosswalk trying to make room for a truck to pass and then i couldn't back up because people walking behind me so i got stuck and made things worse
"i told a security guard to eat my asshole"
