Last night, I closed the linen cupboard for the fourth (?) time on my way to bed. Honey trots through up to the master bedroom. I turn out my light and call my boo boo, who often chooses not to turn up when I call.

During the night, I wake up, no kitty on bed. Unusual, but it's warm and I'm sleeping poorly and restlessly, so not a surprise. I go to the loo, go back to bed, wish he was there.

This morning: Mum is feeding Honey. JJ hasn't turned up. we're both starting to look everywhere, we can't find him... Mum opens the linen cupboard.

JJ hops out and runs downstairs to be fed, stretching and yawning.

Yup. I shut him in the linen cupboard and the little idiot didn't try to get out, didn't call, just... went to sleep.

I have done this to my cat before! Twice.

He has never sat in there before. He usually opens it, gets in, gets out and walks off.

I thought as I was closing it "I should check..." but I then thought "He gets out as soon as the door moves"

we lost peace for like two days because she crawled into the drawer under my dad's bed and didnt like...bother to make any noise (which is very unlike her because she is a very noisy cat)

Missy will sneak into the linen cabinet if we take the rubber band off the door and she can actually pry it open herself

i think she only started making noise around the time we finally found her

Val is the one who got herself caught in the game closet with the french doors back at the apartment, because she could stick her paw under from the outside to open it, and it would spring closed behind her, but couldn't do the same from the inside

JJ's learned to open doors. The linen cupboard has a broken latch and is generally just held shut with a folded bit of paper to provide the pressure

yeah, that's the rubber band on the knobs of ours

sano likes to sleep in the pantry and mum is always shutting him in there |D. he sneaks in while she gets something out and she never even notices. then like five hours later "has anyone seen sano?"

JJ likes to pull our pantry open and then... walk off.
