I didn't want to play a game about a child feeling like she has to sacrifice her life so I went to Ruka for confirmation

If a grown ass adult decides they're going to sacrifice their life to save the world that's one thing

If a tiny baby child decides they need to sacrifice their life to save the world then something has gone horribly wrong and the adults around them have FAILED

I'm thinking very strongly about the ending up Mob Psycho 100 season 1

Since this is spoilers territory, I'm gonna say it outright

You have to avoid the bad ending to avoid child sacrifice

The important thing is

there is a light at the end of the tunnel

however hard you have to work to get to it

yeah i specified true ending for this reason

one of the endings does in fact involve sacrifice but it is not the Only Ending That Exists

The kicker is that this story is all about tragedy, and there is precisely One Actual Villain (and one Unethical Asshole) who isn't very big in the scheme of things.
