first workout of the week, first workout of the new routine done

not that bad! but it is a new series, so i do of course expect that the very first video will be easier than the rest will be

it was not difficult, but not as easy and not as big a step down in difficulty from what i was doing in the previous routine

so, a good branching off point, over all

ultimately, i decided to continue another 2 weeks of strength and endurance training with power walking/incline training

rather than dive right into jogging, just to give my shin splits time to heal (they're already not as bad) and time for me to strengthen my legs

especially because my sense of balance isn't like entirely 100% yet as i progressively move faster, something you don't really think about when you start moving again after a long time of... not moving a lot

ANYWAY, ALL THAT SAID.... impossible burger with 2% american cheese and tbsp of sugar free ray's bbq sauce with baked sweet potato fries

it was an endurance incline walk, and he kept it at like 3.5 on a mountain incline that varied from 2-10

what IS nice, just in general living/movement is that i can tell my legs are getting stronger

can definitely feel more muscles working, especially my quads, so like... all for the better

we had to run around today so i was all off my eating schedule, so just made a newman's cauliflower pizza

which is like a super easy go to when i don't have the time/patience/energy to make dinner after a long day

god, if i've learned one thing, it's like 57 different ways to make a delicious healthy pizza

and pizza makes me sort of feel mentally like i'm cheating, in a good way where i sort of end up feeling both physically and emotionally satisfied

like pancakes, pizza, mac and cheese... sort of go to comfort foods to turn to and have be much healthier, viable alternatives is really great

i saw chef john make a fritatta today that had like yellow and green squash and red onion and goat cheese in it

and i will try thata healthier version of that sometime soon, i think

the only thing i can't really substitute for is the goat cheese, but goat cheese is a healthier cheese than your typical cow's milk cheese so

cause what, otherwise it's egg beaters, a piece of turkey bacon, some fat free cheddar, and a bunch of vegetables

recently i started putting like a long bolster pillow at the foot of my bed at night, which has been great because i can bring it up and rest my ankles or knees over it for a little lift/stretch, but it also seems to keep me warmer which is a great bonus
