[Work] Apparently some lady was just so utterly enraged that I dared to help get her husband’s seatback upright for landing that she is going to write a report about me to Customer Service! Me (mentally): Yeah, yeah, lady. I’ve got your name too. Our reports can cross, and it’ll be funny to see who they believe.
Her: “And you’re an instructor?!” /gives me a Look of such Massive Disapproval as to indicate that she expects to hear stories of millions of flight attendants aggressively being helpful any day now
I apologized, told her that of course, I should have abided by her wishes, it was totally my fault, was there anything I could do to make things right? Only to be told quite snippily, “No!” You got it, lady.
As far as I’m concerned, she had decided that helpfulness was a trait that was not too be accepted any longer, and/or she just wanted to yell at someone in order to make herself feel better about her life. I don’t know.
