Grimwalker appears to be a recipe to make a fucking person using a galdorstone, palistrom wood, and some monster body parts. That eye color... we've only seen ONE character with that eye color...
There's one thing she knows she's done well at: academics. Which she did well at with hard work. So now she's trying to apply that to her relationship. It's lucky she's with Luz, because that intensity would drive others away.
I do like in general how she is using the goop like waterbending in this episode, though. It looks rad as hell and I love the Amity shoutouts to Katara in this series
I love the comparison/contrast in the episode between Amity wanting to not let down Luz and Hunter not wanting to let down Luz but how its for totally opposite reasons
nice swerve of how for half the episode, the Captain of the guard is set up as sympathetic, but then she tries to kill a defenseless Amity because she's bored
She would've been objectively better off, but I like how the show frames it as worth it despite the mentally unhealthy Hunter immediately turning on her
which is a good callback to the scene where Amity and Hunter were alone and she says "I'm an awesome girlfriend" and Hunter says "has she told you that" and Amity gets a look of self-doubt on her face
From Reddit: "If I had a nickel for every time an animated Mae Whitman character whose powers revolve around magically shaping liquid fell in love with a 4-element wielding magician and tried to befriend but then fought an angsty scarred teenage boy in a cavern with reflective green stone walls... I'd have two nickels"
I’d really like to see more from willow this season also she’s gotten nothing so far and it’s a shame I know we all care about lumity more but I always feel like the ‘first friend’ character type gets neglected
