If you’re trying to get customer service, sarcasm isn’t the best weapon.
Tanarian
I've made the agent laugh twice already.
Tanarian
I did this stuff on his end of the phone for nearly 10 years, I know how to not point it at the person actually ON the line.
Tanarian
Either way, I think an order placed on June 11th with a promised delivery of August is not acceptable.
dkronfeld
Why not?
dkronfeld
... unless they changed it after the fact?
Tanarian
It wasn't a preorder.
Tanarian
And the "delivery estimate" has changed at least three times.
dkronfeld
Yeah, supply chains are messy right now, and anything involving chips can be insanely difficult to source.
Tanarian
AND there was no suggestion on the item page at the time of order that delivery under Amazon Prime was going to take any longer than one might reasonably expect for a "heavy/bulky" item.
Tanarian
[hangs up] Well, that makes me feel like a much more satisfied customer at this point. On top of which, I got to tell him how the U.S. Interstate system is numbered, and we compared environments.
Tanarian
Hmmmm... I see your point about chips. Unfortunately, there were no advisories on delays at time of purchase.
