Cat-related talkies in here?
❤ɛʈɛʀɳɐʟ ɭɵʊɛ❤
So if my cat has some kind of bloody?? tears from one eye but it's been going on for years and isn't affecting her in any other way?
❤ɛʈɛʀɳɐʟ ɭɵʊɛ❤
is that really cause for taking her to the vet? truly?
❤ɛʈɛʀɳɐʟ ɭɵʊɛ❤
like she's otherwise perfectly healthy in every other way but that
❤ɛʈɛʀɳɐʟ ɭɵʊɛ❤
i still have money set aside for it just incase but..
❤ɛʈɛʀɳɐʟ ɭɵʊɛ❤
does she REALLY need it?
❤ɛʈɛʀɳɐʟ ɭɵʊɛ❤
i'm tired of people telling me what i should be doing with my money..
DʀᴀɢɴHᴏᴍᴇᴏᴘᴀᴛʜʏ
Have you made a phone call where you explain that it's been going on for years with no adverse effects?
ɢᴏᴢᴛғᴜᴋʀ
cats are notorious for hiding pain and there is no way to say that the issue isn't causing other problems
❤ɛʈɛʀɳɐʟ ɭɵʊɛ❤
she's literally seemed fine.. ;;
❤ɛʈɛʀɳɐʟ ɭɵʊɛ❤
but
ɢᴏᴢᴛғᴜᴋʀ
you should have her checked by a professional just in case, esp if you're worried about what you're spending your money on, because it could become a more expensive/life threatening issue without your knowledge.
❤ɛʈɛʀɳɐʟ ɭɵʊɛ❤
no. admittedly i haven't called the vet
❤ɛʈɛʀɳɐʟ ɭɵʊɛ❤
just getting someone to come look at her is $65
DʀᴀɢɴHᴏᴍᴇᴏᴘᴀᴛʜʏ
That's why you call. They can tell you if they're actually worried.
❤ɛʈɛʀɳɐʟ ɭɵʊɛ❤
even if i just call and tell them?
ɢᴏᴢᴛғᴜᴋʀ
if it's a concern they will tell you to bring the cat in to see them, yes. at that point you need to trust the professionals and not whether she seems fine.
❤ɛʈɛʀɳɐʟ ɭɵʊɛ❤
i'll stop being stubborn and call the vet tomorrow.
DʀᴀɢɴHᴏᴍᴇᴏᴘᴀᴛʜʏ
Yeah.
DʀᴀɢɴHᴏᴍᴇᴏᴘᴀᴛʜʏ
Be clear on that you haven't noticed anything else.
❤ɛʈɛʀɳɐʟ ɭɵʊɛ❤
like her behavior hasn't changed and the tears aren't constantly happening
❤ɛʈɛʀɳɐʟ ɭɵʊɛ❤
stuff like that
Armada
please call the vet, if it's the flipped in eyelids like my cat had, it may eventually damage her eyesight
❤ɛʈɛʀɳɐʟ ɭɵʊɛ❤
her eyelids are fine?
Armada
thats what we thought with our cat too

❤ɛʈɛʀɳɐʟ ɭɵʊɛ❤
See? She looks fine!
Armada
but blood in her tears, man
Armada
❤ɛʈɛʀɳɐʟ ɭɵʊɛ❤
That's it. No other symptoms
Armada
Some of the causes of increased tear production in cats include conjunctivitis (viral or bacterial), allergies, eye injuries, abnormal eyelashes (distichia or ectopic cilia), corneal ulcers, eye infections, anatomical abnormalities such as rolled in eyelids (entropion) or rolled out eyelids (ectropion), and glaucoma.
❤ɛʈɛʀɳɐʟ ɭɵʊɛ❤
i'll be calling the vet tomorrow
DʀᴀɢɴHᴏᴍᴇᴏᴘᴀᴛʜʏ
I'm hoping it's just allergies fdgksl
ᴘʀᴏᴛᴀɢ-ᴋᴜɴ
Definitely call the vet. Like... healthy cats don't bled from their eyes. At the very least, she might be uncomfortable, and you're the only one responsible for making sure she's happy and healthy.
❤ɛʈɛʀɳɐʟ ɭɵʊɛ❤
i hope its just allergies too
❤ɛʈɛʀɳɐʟ ɭɵʊɛ❤
okay so update
❤ɛʈɛʀɳɐʟ ɭɵʊɛ❤
spoke to a vet
❤ɛʈɛʀɳɐʟ ɭɵʊɛ❤
told her everything
❤ɛʈɛʀɳɐʟ ɭɵʊɛ❤
she said there wouldnt be much she could do after i told her the symptoms and whats going on
❤ɛʈɛʀɳɐʟ ɭɵʊɛ❤
she doesnt think anythings wrong with her
DʀᴀɢɴHᴏᴍᴇᴏᴘᴀᴛʜʏ
If she doesn't think anything is wrong, she might think "seasonal allergies" then.
DʀᴀɢɴHᴏᴍᴇᴏᴘᴀᴛʜʏ
Which, unfortunately, even if you medicate you can't. Do much?
❤ɛʈɛʀɳɐʟ ɭɵʊɛ❤
Yeah :-(
