I remember seeing a post on tumblr that was talking about difficulty attracting bees to their garden, until they planted some particular flower that is very strongly attractive to them? they used some phrasing about it being like a signal tower or landing beacon or SOMETHING

and I feel like if I could remember that phrasing I could find the post and FIND OUT WHAT FUCKING FLOWER THEY PLANTED

I HAVE GIVEN UP MY SEARCH at least for now and I do actually have some plants in mind for the butterfly garden :|b butterfly mist flower is the big one I'm planning on, since it's known to attract queens and monarchs

like there's a pollinator garden at the big arboretum the next county over, they have it planted there and there are consistently CLOUDS of queens fluttering around
