Watching a video on the reason that using "Too Sensitive" shows a lack of empathy.
Deria
This person touches on reasonable accommodation as a way to consider showing empathy about feelings, since reasonable accommodation is about accepting a person's needs without letting them be entitled.

All I'm thinking of is the time my boss was questioning every bit of help I needed and actively stopping me asking for help. And how the government told me that was legally because he was just trying to understand my needs in a store that wasn't accommodating to blind customers, let alone employees.
Deria
Or the number of times I've asked for help in places because I'm legally blind and been told by the clerk that they're legally blind without their glasses before they just walk away.
Deria
So I definitely don't think that using reasonable accommodation as a "look, this is better and more empathetic than saying that you think someone is being too sensitive". And the very idea pisses me off.

End rant.

On a brighter note, because I feel it's important, most times I sit down and talk to people about my disability or feelings, I come away with a new and helpful perspective even if no agreement was reached.
