sudden mood drop was topped by a team member texting that her laptop won't turn on go anywhere past a blue screen telling her to restart, and tomorrow is a critical working day
I ask this because invariably when one of our folks working from home at the bank complained about not being able to turn on their laptop IT said they needed to plug it in/let it charge
i hate having to bother the rest of the team on a sunday and a holiday but i'm mobilizing them now for the inevitability of her not getting to work tomorrow
IT's response time hasn't been great, alas. we do understand that they have other things going on as well and they're servicing a much larger population now that majority is working from home, but... accountants are unfortunately time-bound in certain times of the month. like now lmao
so i'm now on my 15th hour at work and things are thankfully calming down at last. the poor girl couldn't do any work today because IT took one look and said "bring it in for reformatting" and she lives so far away and commuting is a hazard with the pandemic.
i hope i'm down to my last coffee of the night and i can sleep soon. i already goofed at two things today but thankfully some other people caught me hahahaha
