You know what makes writing something set in the real world that does not take place during the pandemic hard?
Dr. Yubsie
Not being able to readily figure out how much it costs to see the Leafs :-P
WingsOfCover
hahahahahaha
Dr. Yubsie
LIke I know SEASONS tickets cost the burden of knowing you murdered the person who had them before you
WingsOfCover
it's reached a point where watching TV set in the real world during non-pandemic times is getting WEIRD
WingsOfCover
it has to be superhero or fantasy or something. I just... can't.
Dr. Yubsie
This is in fact superhero :-P
WingsOfCover
oh good.
Dr. Yubsie
The protaganist is going to a Leafs game because she needs to talk to a hero who plays for them :-P
Dr. Yubsie
I'm pretty sure I can safely say the answer is "Not in her budget so she better finagle a press pass" :-P
nonhoration
Yeah, my roommate went to a Leafs/Canadiens game in Montreal back in like 2010 on what was basically min wage but she saved for like a year
Dr. Yubsie
Luckily I made her a journalist to give her an excuse to google weird shit for her superheroing :-P
nonhoration
(also even superheroes stress me lol: I watched Birds of Prey last April and Harley keeps putting her FACE on people)

/looks up
ah. that is a line.
WingsOfCover
luckily i'm not there yet on the superhero and fantasy stuff. I'm not sure what I'll do if I can only watch animated things
Dr. Yubsie
So far stuff in the real world mostly just makes me go "... but I want that"

We get pairs of Leafs tickets donated as United Way raffle prizes each year, and they range between $200-$500 for their value depending on who's playing. Seats are mid range, not by the boards or anything.
