I don't know if you are on FB, but if you are, there are a lot of vaccine hunter groups that help find vaccine appointments

Also check all the local pharmacies, they are starting to get deliveries and making appointments. Walgreens seems fairly standard, CVS/Rite-Aid, Krogers

also check your county health department, sometimes they will set up local clinics

Just say you're a smoker

I used the VaccineFinder website to figure out what pharmacies were offering it in my area (which turned out to be about 90% Walgreens) and then signed up on Walgreens' site to keep an eye on when appointments became available at specific locations (since I'm only eligible in certain counties here).

I refreshed the Walgreens page about once per hour starting late Monday night, when I first learned a neighboring county had opened up to group 5, since that's where I had to make the actual appointment. It finally showed appointments in that county today.

And I made mine for Monday.

Trying something like that would be my suggestion, if you haven't been yet.

That is, find the pharmacies and then refresh their appointment availability pages frequently. Based on what I saw in all locations on VaccineFinder, they seem to get posted between 12 and 1 most often, so I'd refresh more often during that hour.
