I'm fully vaccinated and I'm finding that waiting this last week before my parents are considered fully vaccinated and I can finally hug them after more than a year is just killing me.

It will be in the 50's tomorrow so I have a 'date' with my parents to sit in the driveway and visit with them. Then Thursday my dad has a covid test and has tp quarantine till his knee replacement surgery next week so I can't see them again till then.

I kind of want to curl up in my mom's lap and cry, but I'm much bigger than her, so she'd need to curl up in mine.

Yo both need a good snuggle and cry. This year has been hard and you've survived it and crying seems like the proper response to finally getting to hug your parents.

Yes, yes it does. It was so hard to wave goodbye on Christmas Eve when normally I'd have been settling in to spend the night there. Thank heavens it was decent so we could at least see each other outside.

actually, I got it because the agency I work at is a group home, so our state senator got us in as long term residence staff. Teachers weren't going to get vaccinated till April or May, bu we got more vaccines,so they'll start getting shots in the next couple of weeks hopefully.
