I went back to the doctor today to get more tests run to see if they can figure out why my immune system is trash. My CBC came back as severely anemic. Which is bad because I already know I struggle with that and take iron daily. That used to work but apparently it is not anymore. I really just have more questions now.

I have to schedule more follow ups for them to try and figure out why I am so severely anemic, as in root cause.

I was like, "and iron is the reason I keep getting sick and my immune system is low?" and she said yes because iron is necessary for a healthy immune system and at the low levels my iron was today it would negatively affect my immune system

I am having steak for dinner!

This happened to me before being diagnosed with an auto immune disease. I hope more tests provide answers for you.

Laila : really, your blood tests showed low iron?

Yes! I was 11, which according to my dr was low. He did put me in iron supplements and it helped somewhat, but not until I got on meds for auto immune. It was then my iron finally came back up to normal numbers.

They might check you for any auto immune diseases. Hope they do!
