as long as it isn't literally on my work surface I'm inclined to let them keep going for it, it's free enrichment and also mutual hunting is one of the very few times Bastet can stand Neffie's presence

update: they chased it behind the bookshelves and Neffie is now just lying on her side sadly gazing into the gap between furniture

one time my mom was looking after freya for me and she called me in a panic like SHE ATE A GRASSHOPPER, WHAT DO I DO and i was like, nothing? she’s a cat? they do that???

poor neffie. her snack escaped

oh she went behind the bookshelves earlier and just emerged looking pleased with herself. perhaps she got it after all.
