[ Mental health/Health ] I hate.... having to talk on the phone...

Why is phone anxiety a thing

Anyway, trying to get my vaccine set up for covid since I qualify now in my area, due to working with Max

and also another place that I had contacted about counseling reached out to me too to say they accept my insurance and can get me set up

and the other place has been calling but I keep missing their call... and playing phone tag with them

so I'm trying to figure out now if I should switch from the one to the other. Because the one program I think mostllyyy specializes in dealing with people who have mental healthy issues + addiction issues. And I don't have an addiction I am struggling with

vs the other place deals with anxiety, depression, family issues, etc etc etc

so I'm like should I... get set up at both and see which fits better or should I just.... say nah to the other?

anyway, since I know I expect a bunch of return calls today I feel like I can't do anything until I receive those

which makes no sense

but also I'm like ahhhhHHHHH

The family one might be a better fit on paper, but seeing who you click with best is good

A lot of people have phone anxiety! Maybe make yourself comfy or chat with a friend to warm up before you make a call.

My mom and I both doodle/scribble when we're on the phone (and also take notes/list things to talk about). Burns off some of the energy and gets the important points outside of the possibly-distracted brain.

Any time I find a piece of notebook paper just covered in squiggly scribbles, I know it was my mom talking on the phone

those are all good ideas

and fortunately... the calls for the day are done and over with

I have an appointment tomorrow to get my work physical done with my doctor at butt in the morning

and then...around 2, now, I have my first talk with the therapist to get set up and see what I need then, I guess

I will do initial talks with both places just to see like suggested

I asked again that it's still an okay fit there and again they said yeah it's totally fine they have this branch dedicated to that so. >_<
