So I finally watched Space Sweepers on Netflix and if you want to watch a sci fi movie that will make you want to shovel 10 pounds of popcorn in your face, you should watch it too

A rag tag group of space garbage collectors discover the richest man in space's plan to kill all the poor people stuck on earth and have to stop him by rescuing a little girl

the crew consists of a bad ass, hard drinking, ex space pirate captain lady

a yakuza with an axe and a heart of gold

an ex cop who lost his daughter and got fired from the space cops for not being fashy enough

and an android who stands on the back of the spaceship and chucks javelins at things and is saving money to become a pretty lady

the bad guy is the richest man in space who basically wants to kill all the poor. I cannot do justice to how superbly hateable he is

he's the worst there's ever been

he's convinced that all poor people have a genetic defect that makes them evil and keeps them poor

Reflecting on it, my only real criticism is that I felt like the movie stopped for exposition too many times

Well, that sounds delightful

It feels very much like a colorful tabletop campaign
