Finished Gideon the Ninth

Villain
It’s good

Villain
A fun read with a HELL of an action packed finale

Villain
Only problem I had was I had a bit of trouble keeping the characters straight because they introduced the main duo and then a bit later they introduced 15 more characters at once

Villain
The structure of the story was kind of like a mystery novel

Villain
Or maybe a thriller

Villain
Very “one of us is the killer!”

Villain
There was a stretch towards the beginning that was kind of weirdly meandering but the individual characters were entertaining enough that they held my attention through that part

Villain
Okay spoiler wall but you should read it it’s good

Villain

Villain
I saw the ending coming

Villain
Not the epilogue but

Villain
It was super clear that the only way to beat a lyctor was with another lyctor

Villain
I didn’t correctly guess the murderer though

Villain
I also looked at the cover of Harrow the Ninth

Villain
And on that, Harrow has a big two handed sword strapped to her back

Villain
Which, if you’re paying attention, is a huge spoiler

Villain
That Harrow and Gideon become a lyctor

Villain
I don’t think Gideon is just GONE, though

Villain
There’s still a bunch of unanswered questions about who she is

Villain
I still have many questions

Villain
What did the Undying Emperor DO?

Villain
Who is the Empire fighting?

Villain
Why were people talking about Gideon ten thousand years ago?

Villain
What’s up with the River?

Echo
Yeah, I think you're gonna like the next book.

Echo
Also, remember that meme from a while back where I said your favorite character would be either Gideon or Camilla? I'm curious, how correct was I?

Villain
I don’t remember that but you were right it’s Gideon

Villain
Camilla was a BIT too dry in personality but she was definitely cool
