the FMCSA has the "adverse driving conditions exception" that can allow up to two extra hours of drive time........ but my company doesn't allow us to use it!! i have no idea. they don't allow us to use a lot of duty status on our logs we should be allowed to use. maybe to prevent abusing the system?
