yeah if you have records that you paid it, or paid something, definitely show them. my last apartment tried to charge us twice for something that was a clerical error and we had to fight it & point out all the details, but then they dropped it

rent is typically due on the first of the month, so late Sep through early Oct is the area you'd want to look at for missing October 2020's rent

also yes clerical errors happen sometimes. one time I wrote a check for rent that clearly specified 7 hundred something both in numbers and spelled out, yet later the bank effed up and mistook the 7 for a 1.... so I had to get the rental office to call their bank and fix that error
