Granted, most of it died down once people realized there wasn't much more to his character than a hot, young space Nazi who was basically a younger version of Grand Moff Tarkin, but still. For a while there I saw a lot of stuff relating to his character all over the place. Honestly, I think the fact he was killed off so abruptly was also a bit of a shame.

Like everything else in that series, they built him up and then did nothing with him. I thought the whole "Puppet emperor Force user wannabe" thing they were doing to do with him in Duel of the Fates where he commits seppuku with a purple lightsaber when he realizes the First Order has lost sounded like it had a lot more potential.
