It was an original Italian magical girl show when the genre was big over there in the 2000s. First localized by 4kids and then Nickelodeon, it's still going today, but in response to hemorrhaging fans, started to skew younger to grab a new audience. As an attempt to keep the older fans and draw in lapsed ones, they then made... this mess.
