Here's an image you'd only thought to see in some Hollywood action film:

These were distributed to Capitol staff, etc:

So... that newly elected Republican lady who insisted on bringing her Glock to Capitol... Was she preparing for that? (thinking) (No, don't answer. That's a purely rhetorical question.)
Tanarian
Ha! I wonder where she was during this whole mess.
Stereo Nacht
Not yet sworn in, so not there. Now, if she happened to be among the protestors, that could be... Interesting.

There was a representative from West Virginia (haven't looked him up to see if he's state only, or federal) with some of the door-breakers. He needs to go.

Tanarian : One of the things I learned about US laws: "no one who has committed sedition can be seated in the House". IE: Ms. Pelosi could refuse to swear him in. (If he was elected at the federal level; pretty sure there would be similar laws at the state level, then the state-level equivalent of Ms. Pelosi could refuse him.)

It's getting the charges to stick righteously at this point.

Another angle of the amazing/revolting photo up top:

And I looked up the WV guy - he's state-level:

Ah, here's a decent source for what I am talking of, and yes, that also comprises state-level officials, but they need to have been sworn in. So it would only work if he has been reelected.
The Constitution has an answer for seditious members...
Stereo Nacht
Oh, wait. From your link: "He assumed office on December 1, 2020. His current term ends on November 30, 2022." So he's already been sworn in. Now, not sure about how the "seating" would apply, since he's technically already seated. (thinking)

Tanarian
WV probably has a state-level version of that.

The certificate boxes, safely snatched up by Senate aide(s) on the way out:

There are duplicates in secure places as well, but the symbolism of these being in the hands of destructive rioters would be Bad.
Stereo Nacht
See the citation I put in. It clearly state one cannot hold office at the state level either. So WV doesn't need to have anything extra for getting him thrown out. (I've did a quick translation work in a US politic forum, which forced me to read it more attentively, and I now believe he could be ejected from his seat.)
Stereo Nacht
And yes, it would have been very bad if those had been snatched and tampered with. They could have "created" the evidence for what they claim happened (but didn't).
Tanarian
I think them creating anything gives them too much credit, but it still would have been bad.

Susan Wild is MY rep, and she’s a badass. She will return to finish the job.
Tanarian
The Dems have been quoting saying things like "We're going to finish this tonight" and cussing.
