14. Which other character that you write do you think would get along best with this character?
Spock and Gary Bell would absolutely have crazy adventures in space. I've kinda alluded to that in a psl/texting meme; basically Gary's new hc ending.

Sylar and Russell - happy murder boyfriends!

Steve N. & Renfield - now this I've thought quite a bit about in my effort to divide my two most submissive/soft characters. Would they get along? Maybe at first, but eventually, Steve would tire of him. and to Renfield, Steve just wouldn't be that great of a Master. Needy+needy = ew go away.

1. What’s your favorite part of writing this character?
Gary: Unique perspective of the world, his total lack of social graces, just says what he thinks.
Renfield: He's equally a snippy bitch as much as a submissive one. Victorian spice adds to his prose.
Russell: Timeless rich bitch. He knows so much, and ideas are limitless.
𝕯ҽα∂ ρҽσρℓ𝑒 тҽα
Steve: My one precious dumbass. So much canon did not explore fully with him that I love getting to do. Writing him coming to terms with his history, and recognizing when he's being terrible is A Treat. Character growth!!

Sylar: He's a vicious flirt as much as he's dangerous & murdery. He has a biting sarcasm to him that most the others lack.

2. Least favorite part of writing this character?
Gary: Finding the perfect balance with his neurodiversity. It's ultimately why I'm not writing him as much.
Renfield: He's still shiny and new and I worry he won't stick around. Also, his terrible racism. I dread that more than I do writing him eating bugs or cats.
𝕯ҽα∂ ρҽσρℓ𝑒 тҽα
Steve: Not so much writing him, but rather, how he might be perceived by other characters. Even when he's not being dramatic, he's dismissed as such, or misinterpreted.

Russell & Sylar: Nothing yet!
𝕯ҽα∂ ρҽσρℓ𝑒 тҽα
Spock: It's finding the balance of writing the Vulcan... everything, and also, the seemingly heartless exterior vs all the emotions he's actually feeling. Which I can't always say in narration, when the scene is more towards quick prose/spam, and he's not likely to be too introspective anyway.

8. What do you hate most about this character?
whoops I accidentally answered this one with Steve and previous question.
𝕯ҽα∂ ρҽσρℓ𝑒 тҽα
9. What drew you to playing this character?
insert blanket statement of 'Canon abused them. So with a heavy sigh I plucked them from terrible writers and rescued them into the multi-verse'. To go more in depth...
𝕯ҽα∂ ρҽσρℓ𝑒 тҽα
Gary: The very thing I struggle to write. Also his power is very unique and amazing.

Renfield: Ⓓⓤⓛⓛⓐⓗⓐⓝ alright history lesson: I watched Penny Dreadful bout a year back but never the third season. So when Russell started writing with your Victor, I was like 'alright lets do this thing'. So I finished it.
𝕯ҽα∂ ρҽσρℓ𝑒 тҽα
Plurked about it cuz of course and oh hai Samuel Barnett, I know this dude as Norton. Made icons. Forgot about him. Not even, what, a goddamn month later and I'm thinking '.......what if.......' and then began writing him.
𝕯ҽα∂ ρҽσρℓ𝑒 тҽα
at first thinking 'oh okay this will fade, he'll disappear after a couple of memes'. No. He's still in my headspace. Being a lurking creeper and looking way too adorable about it.
𝕯ҽα∂ ρҽσρℓ𝑒 тҽα
Russell: ahahahaha ok more tl;dr! I never would've attempted to write this fucker were it not for the VIP flood at . I was fucking terrified of writing him because he's so ancient and such a literal larger than life personality. whoops now he's adopted a science twink so here he stays.
𝕯ҽα∂ ρҽσρℓ𝑒 тҽα
Spock: I love his intellect and zen-like control over his inner thoughts and emotions (except around That One Cute Boi who ruins everything)
𝕯ҽα∂ ρҽσρℓ𝑒 тҽα
Steve: Southern charm and cuteness and seriously canon ruined him horribly. he deserves an ending only being a ship in space can bring. obviously.

Sylar: aka the best character on Heroes? He's just so much fun and a great modern evil bitch.
𝕯ҽα∂ ρҽσρℓ𝑒 тҽα
15. Do you listen to any particular music to get in the mood to write this character?
Nope! I listen to lofi hip-hop or jazz, orrr nature ambience to calm down my brain.
Kira🌵
Oh, nice!

4. Are there any other works outside this character’s canon that inspire how you write them?
Sylar: I'm sure there's subconscious influences, but generally, I try not to alter him too much.

Renfield: definitely Dirk Gently as a partial influence for his more manic states. otherwise, just all the years of neglected Renfields I guess (LOL)
𝕯ҽα∂ ρҽσρℓ𝑒 тҽα
10. What’s something you wish more people knew about this character?
Sylar: There was an entire episode where he shapeshifted into his mother (whom he killed three seasons ago) because of an identity crisis. Quinto & Ellen Greene acted the fuck out of this and made it awesome.

I play him well before that canon point. But his mind can Go There.
𝕯ҽα∂ ρҽσρℓ𝑒 тҽα
Renfield: I have begun constructing terrible headcanons for him. His first sexual encounter with an older man was around 14, for instance. Otherwise, just from canon? Hmm. Well there's his true ending where he ends up "rescued" (finger quotes) by Jekyll/Hyde.

10 was such an odd question, probably fitting more towards OCs I think.
