Text version: Trump tried to say he'd veto the defense spending bill unless provisions were put in that would hurt twitter. The house passed the defense bill with a non-vetoable majority.

Not just twitter, though that was undoubtedly his goal. His demand would have made it possible to sue pretty much any site for content its users uploaded onto it.

Yeah, his "problem" in the end is people not liking him and being vocal about it, and nothing he does is going to fix that.
