Jesus take the wheel. My father has no intention on closing his business even though he lives with us and hubs is positive for covid. My brother has no intention of getting tested even though he lives with us. I just... I can't. The fucking irresponsibility of some people.

sorry to say but this is exactly why we're still in the fucking position we're in. I know people who have done this kind of thing too and it just makes me so fucking angry

The gov't should have done a better job containing it in the first place, if they'd given people enough money to actually stay home (also if the fucking small business loans had ACTUALLY gone to small businesses exclusively) we might be doing better. Not to mention the disinformation campaigns re: wearing/not wearing masks

Autumn : My father is in some ways kind of screwed because of money, so I am not without sympathy, especially because we depend on his share of the rent money. But I feel like he could at least leave his tailor to run things just for a LITTLE bit while he might be contagious. My brother on the other hand mooches off of my parents and has no excuse

OhCecilia : yeah that's why I called out the money from the gov't thing. I definitely have sympathy for people who are unable to WFH or take time off
