Since the dawn of time, serpents have embodied many symbols across different cultures and eras. In biblical times, snakes represented sin and temptation. Yet, in ancient Egypt, the ouroboros symbol of a snake eating itself represented renewal and resurrection. In some indigenous cultures, serpents symbolized fertility and rebirth.
In modern times, the mysterious nature of serpents have unfolded; however, its enchanting legends remain a lively source of inspiration for many.
To pay homage to the fluid impact serpents have on history, religion, and folklore, I have carefully designed three chained enamel pins that are open for interpretation.
