my complaints about the desktop app aren't big ones - I kind of hate the way when the desktop app gives me a notification in the bottom corner of my screen, it blocks me from clicking anywhere near there for a few seconds, but otherwise when I've used it I haven't had any issues. I think it slows things down when I restart but not once things are all running
I mostly use the browser version because it's just easier for me to click between browser tabs (discord is always my leftmost tab) than to click open another program when I get a message
If I'm thinking right, if you're using the browser version, there should be a white line to the left of the icon for the server if there's posts you haven't read in it.
but anyway: what I think I'm understanding here is that servers are like a journal/comm situation in that you can have and/or join any number of personal ones or subject-based ones
but the ctrl-K quicksearch (as it keeps reminding me) allows searching for "servers, channels, or DMs", which, I guess it searches only your specific direct messages? XDDD But public servers/channels?
now if only it'd do line breaks between groupsor title bars
