Just checked out the Nordic Tales pirated epub and boy! I remember this from my favourite childhood folktale book that I lost when I moved house.
I remember the book said this was a Norwegian folktale, though. I read that book so many times that I remember everything even though the last time I read, I was twelve.

Oh, there is a significat difference between this version and the version I read as a kid. The way the mouse's curse was broken. Noice.
