day 2: the fun dont stop

made the mistake of reading some plurks catastrophizing about the election last night and it put me in a pretty bad way

but some time and rest has helped a lot

as of this writing, the results are far from decided, and i will not be entertaining any counterarguments to that in this plurk

if you're having anxiety about it like me, take a while longer and unplug yourself from it

we have a while to go yet and you need to be kind to yourself

yeah I did my utmost to not look at anything yesterday and I sure as hell knew I wasn't gonna look today either. everything is just. it just.

yeah i literally couldn't stop checking the stuff yesterday despite knowing that the results don't mean anything yet

like, does it look bad? doesn't mean anything. does it look good? still doesn't mean anything. it really is for the best to just not check.
