4tw is 4thewords! It's a writing game website, a little bit like a RPG. There's a big ol' main storyline ("save the land from this bad thing"), places to travel all over the land as you unlock parts of that storyline, and various sidequests in all those places!
the only downside is that it requires a subscription of $4 a month, but you do get a whole month free to try it out, to see if it helps you! Which it does for me, because the combinbation of goals and a time limit keeps my brain on track
and the various enemies you have to fight are all really creative, with wonderful art and various word/time lengths so that there's always something everyone can handle!
(also yes, I am that dumbass that makes an account and ONLY then realizes he could have asked for a referal from people already in the game ... //facepalms at self)
If you go to your dashboard, you can scroll down to the friends section, and there's a tiny little "add friend" bar next to it! just type in "trilies" and that's meee
I hope 4tw helps you out on that then! I've found it's really good at that "just one more" kind of thing, and 500 words is exactly what you need to start and keep up a writing streak by the site's standards
If you have any questions, let me know! I know there's a small starter quest you have to do at the very beginning, but I'm not sure how that works with the nano event going on
They did a sort of "soft reset" of the site, with new story beats and such, and I know the starter quest was one of them... but I'd already been on the site by that point, lmao, so I'm still unfamiliar with it a bit...
Yeah, I know that you need to gather some materials, and then you go to one of the shops to have the bridge be made, and I think that finishes the quest?
but it is insane, that's nanowrimo x 3
