Yeah I like knowing my board of elections has it though they have not counted my ballot yet.

it's default vote by mail up here and I do highly recommend

Default vote by mail is GREAT, it means you get a ballot for everything even if you're not paying enough attention. Dealing with people not paying enough attention is such a huge damn deal for maximizing participation and that's a fact.

On the other hand, if you were part of a group whose secret goal is to maintain power while a sizeable majority disagrees with them because maintaining power is a reliable way to extract money and benefits for your descendants, then of course you would discourage automatic mail voting.

basically. default mail voting is also the thing in CO, and were one of the states this election with a "let's do the popular vote" issue on the ballot

if all the states who did that successfully pass it, we'll be significantly closer to doing away with gerrymandering!
