Vyng's sense of self got replaced by the amethyst until Tuck found him, so he...kinda feels you, Atsushi. He's just lucky a stone's nature is to sit and chill
Because he can deffo put his foot in his mouth with insensitive quips, though usually he at least has enough empathy to understand why it rubbed someone the wrong way
2. Vyng -> Atsushi. Honestly, by the end of season 5 he's basically the party therapist, and is generally the person folks go to with their problems so
2. Vyng -> Clover. IMO, Vyng's strength in parenting is being both a nurturer and caregiver while also respecting his kid's autonomy and genuinely wanting to watch him grow into his own person
The trade-off is....he's not the best at structure or discipline, and can maybe be a little too permissive at times But he feels like he'd be a garbage single parent, so at least he's aware of his weak points
He's not the type to be like "I must put myself in danger as penance", per se. But Vyng canonically doesn't like himself, and he's quick to throw his life away if he thinks it'll be meaningful or helpful somehow
5. Vyng -> Shiro. When you have a garbage opinion of yourself, it's too easy to hitch your self-worth to the purpose wagon. Be nicer to yourself than that, buddy!
1. Vyng -> Glitch. He has a tendency to underestimate how important he is to other people. But he's always delighted to hear his friends say they care about him
Considering how ends up feeling about using animal spirits for utilitarian reasons...I think he's probably at a point where if someone offers him a viable alternative, he'll likely lean more toward that.
4. Vyng -> Glitch. Is he dumb enough to think that video was intended for him? Yes. Will he be relieved to find out that it was for someone else? Abso-fucking-lutely.
5. Vyng -> Orpheus. There's a school of thought in druidism that says people can imbue inanimate objects with souls through the power of love. So the thing with the flower actually makes a lot of sense to him
Druids are just keenly aware how impermanent everything is. And that suffering comes from getting too attached to an outcome that's different from what actually ends up happening
Which I think is one reason he's able to stay so chill most of the time. But since that's his default, it makes the moments where he does get upset more difficult for himself and everybody around him
Like what he did for his existential crises that lasted through seasons 4 and 5. And again when he actually got angry at Billie for a hot second in season 6, hahah whoops
6. Vyng -> Shiro. There's a part of him that's still afraid of what Adam's capable of, and he also kinda loves it? But then shit like this happens, and he's like
1. Vyng -> Shiro. he's definitely used his druidism for self-serving purposes...but he wants to believe that race wasn't one of those times, since he was 100% prepared to die if he ended up failing his mission
> Placeholder for October Catch-All
4. Vyng -> Shiro.
5. Vyng -> Atsushi. This kid is nuts, man
"EVERYTHING OUTSIDE IS BLOOD."
"Even better! You can impress him!"
