[infinity train broad spoilers] some musing

do you think if enough people suddenly disappear and then reappear months later, talking about this fantastical train they were on

urban legends about it start popping up everywhere

I would not be surprised if there's an X-Files plotline going on in the background

investigating and interviewing people for this demon train

at first it seems like some weird lie, but then more and more people turn up talking about it

maybe it was a legend in the earlier years

maybe one person got on it and got off and was inspired to invent the train

also

Owen recounting during an episode of The Writers Panel with Ben Blacker how shocked the executives were when he explained Year Inside, Hour Outside wasn't a thing.

Owen: (at 45:20) "They were like 'So [Tulip], she— she was just gone for four months or something?' And I was like 'Yeah'. And they were like '...Oh.' And then the room just felt kinda sad."

well, I guess that makes sense since like. some of these characters literally grew up on the train.

nice to know that's canon and not fanon though.
